Jerry Lites
Senior Pastor

Jerry has been Senior Pastor at Bodega Bay Church since March 2001. Prior to that he served as Interim Pastor, Elder, and Sunday School Teacher. Jerry and his wife, Arden, have been a part of our church family since 1979.

Jerry was born and raised on a farm in north central Florida.  He attended college for a while in northern Georgia, and then joined the U.S. Army.  After serving in Vietnam in the mid-1960s, he was stationed in California.  There he met Arden, and the two were married in 1969.  Jerry later began a career in law enforcement, spending 27 years with the Sebastopol Police Department. Jerry retired as a lieutenant in 2002, allowing him to fully devote himself to his ministry as pastor.

Since 1990 Jerry has been a consultant/trainer with Crisis Consulting International, an organization devoted to training missionaries and mission organizations in crisis management, personal safety, and other subjects.

Jerry holds a Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration from the University of San Francisco. He and Arden have lived in west Sonoma County since shortly after their marriage.  They have three grown children and six grandchildren.
